Senior Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: Remote, Canada

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD annually for the U.S. range, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end product design initiatives, including journey mapping, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Design new and existing payment gateway experiences for complex B2B use cases.
• Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and external validation with merchants and partners.
• Build and evolve scalable design systems across multiple products.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, business teams, merchants, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, ideation, and design exploration.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience designing B2B digital products or complex software systems, with a strong portfolio demonstrating process and measurable impact.
• Strong skills in interaction design, information architecture, visual design, prototyping, and end-to-end user journeys.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems.
• Experience with user research, usability testing, accessibility principles, and WCAG standards.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as v0, Cursor, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Figma AI, or similar technologies.
• Ability to simplify complex technical, API, payment, financial, and transaction concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial products, payment gateways, fintech platforms, APIs, transaction systems, or B2B SaaS products.
• Experience designing onboarding, transaction monitoring, merchant, partner, or payment experiences.
• Familiarity with journey mapping, service blueprints, and cohesive design systems spanning multiple products.
