What you will do

  • Provide environmental oversight for the assigned service area, primarily in New Hampshire.
  • Direct containment and cleanup of oil and hazardous material releases, including storm and after-hours emergency response.
  • Coordinate the management, transportation, documentation, recycling, and disposal of hazardous, regulated, asbestos-containing, and PCB materials.
  • Develop and maintain substation Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure plans and prepare LEPC and SARA Tier II reports.
  • Conduct or support environmental assessments, audits, inspections, remediation, and corrective actions.
  • Represent Eversource with customers and regulatory authorities and support environmental due diligence for property transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of spill response, hazardous-material management, PCB waste, asbestos, SPCC plans, permits, environmental audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work at least three days in the office and up to five days in the office when required by emergencies, training, business needs, or policy changes.
