Engineer for Load Integration & Model Development (Power Systems)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; onsite five days a week

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year, plus Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Perform and support grid integration studies for large-load facilities.
• Run technical power flow and load deliverability studies in ERCOT, SPP, and MISO.
• Support interconnection applications by verifying technical data and ensuring submission sufficiency.
• Manage transmission injection studies and apply regional planning criteria.
• Work with internal teams to define project needs, draft technical specifications, and support grid-integration proposals.
• Track industry trends, attend conferences, and travel as required for projects and professional development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Power Systems with at least 2 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in Power Systems.
• Strong knowledge of ERCOT, SPP, or MISO interconnection procedures and transmission planning.
• Working knowledge of TARA, PSS/e, and Sugar.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week at the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional ISO/RTO markets.
