Director, Development (AI Data Centers)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week; candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation: $230,000–$280,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units.

What you will do

• Lead execution and delivery of multi-billion-dollar AI data center campuses from initial planning through final delivery.
• Direct construction managers, engineering teams, and third-party consultants.
• Build and maintain master project schedules across design, permitting, and construction milestones.
• Oversee entitlements and permitting processes with government agencies.
• Identify and resolve execution risks before they affect delivery timelines.
• Coordinate government stakeholders, internal engineering teams, utilities, and municipal approvals.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in real estate development, preferably in industrial, life sciences, or infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience overseeing large-scale development projects from end to end.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and development-related agreements.
• Ability to operate at strategic and executional levels with limited oversight.
• Experience with utility coordination, permitting timelines, and municipal approval processes.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

• Experience with data centers or digital infrastructure.
