Associate, Commercial Energy Development (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Fully onsite in San Francisco, California, United States, five days per week

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 per year plus bonus, restricted stock units, and an annual targeted bonus

What you will do

• Develop and qualify an early-stage pipeline of GW-scale energy and infrastructure projects for next-generation compute campuses.
• Engage potential partners and counterparties, validate project details, and assess alignment with development criteria.
• Lead preliminary project due diligence, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and prepare recommendations on advancing or terminating opportunities.
• Support deal analysis, structuring, contract negotiation, interconnection applications, and property tax abatement negotiations.
• Analyze energy and AI market trends, regulatory and policy developments, and opportunities across grid power, gas, renewables, storage, hydro, nuclear, geothermal, and gas with carbon capture and storage.
• Manage project data covering costs, schedules, deal terms, and equipment, and synthesize information for executive reporting.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in energy or industrial real estate, specifically in large-scale infrastructure project development.
• Experience with energy-sector participants, deal structures, power marketing, and PPA origination strategies.
• Familiarity with the U.S. energy landscape, macro market trends, and regulatory developments.
• Strong relationship-building, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to solve complex problems with imperfect information using structured, hypothesis-driven decision-making.
• Relevant degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field; fully onsite work in San Francisco is required.

• Experience with AI infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, data center developers, or AI compute workloads.
