What you will do

• Engineer demand management controls to flex gigawatts of load against grid signals and pricing.
• Build control strategies that coordinate IT load, cooling, and behind-the-meter generation.
• Integrate with utility and market signals to ensure verified response and settlement-grade data.
• Validate control strategies in simulation before deploying them across the fleet.

Requirements

• Proven experience engineering controls for energy systems such as demand response, microgrids, or industrial load management.
• Ability to build control logic that operates on real load while maintaining strict constraints.
• Strong understanding of power systems and automation limitations.
• Experience integrating with utility or market signals.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center power and cooling systems.
• Knowledge of BESS controls and ISO/RTO market mechanics.
• Proficiency in optimization methods.
