Electrical Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $169,000–$208,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Engineer the electrical side of behind-the-meter generation, including collection, interconnection, and data center integration.
• Design the electrical balance of plant, including generator connections, transformers, and switchgear for fast-build facilities.
• Run stability, grounding, and protection-coordination studies for islanded and grid-parallel operation.
• Integrate battery storage and generation into one controllable campus power system.
• Support plant designs through commissioning.

Requirements

• Experience engineering electrical systems for power generation, microgrids, or utility-scale storage.
• Experience designing generator interconnections and the associated studies.
• Understanding of islanded operation and its effects on protection and stability.
• Experience integrating inverter-based resources with rotating machines.
• Experience taking plant designs through commissioning.

Nice to have

• Microgrid controls experience.
• Knowledge of grid codes and interconnection standards.
• Experience with PSCAD or PSSE.
• BESS electrical design experience.
