Construction Representative (Energy)

Location: Hooksett, New Hampshire, with required travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. Work includes remote rights-of-way and other construction sites with uneven terrain. Extended hours and emergency restoration assignments may be required.

Salary: $99,080–$110,090 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Manage and inspect contractor activities for transmission line, substation, and system enhancement projects.
• Monitor compliance with project specifications, engineering practices, safety regulations, environmental requirements, codes, and contract documents.
• Review design, construction, material, schedule, budget, and commissioning requirements; coordinate material delivery to construction sites.
• Lead or participate in project meetings, construction briefings, status reporting, incident investigations, and issue escalation.
• Coordinate commissioning plans, outage requests, electrical clearances, switching orders, contractor evaluations, reconciliations, and project closeout.
• Communicate with project stakeholders and customers and provide substation escort support for non-qualified personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of related construction experience; transmission systems experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, applicable safety regulations and codes, construction standards, and energy delivery power systems.
• OSHA training and the ability to obtain and maintain switching and tagging certification.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• Applicants must already have authorization to work in the United States; immigration-related visa sponsorship is not available.
