Software Development Manager III (AWS)

What you will do

• Directly manage, support, and grow a software engineering team.
• Recruit and hire new software engineering team members.
• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed plans and schedules.
• Define and maintain a coherent development strategy and manage day-to-day engineering activities.
• Advance engineering practices across metrics, development methodology, and innovation.
• Set standards across the DevOps lifecycle, including design, automation, documentation, monitoring, and testing.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development life cycle.
• Experience managing engineering teams and working as an engineer.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multitier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing Software Engineers.
• Experience improving engineers’ skills and effectiveness.
