AV Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; on-site

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Define and document enterprise-wide AV standards, including room schematics, signal flow diagrams, device inventories, and operating procedures.
• Program and configure Crestron room systems for All-Hands spaces and complex multi-camera conference rooms.
• Design room automation across scheduling panels, control processors, camera framing, audio DSP, and lighting integration.
• Lead AV planning and build-outs for new offices and sites, coordinating designs, cabling, and installations with contractors and integration vendors.
• Implement remote monitoring and supportability for AV systems across global sites.
• Troubleshoot displays, audio, video conferencing, and control systems while evaluating technologies and improving standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AV engineering, integration, or systems design experience.
• Required Crestron programming experience, including NVX, DM, and control processors for large-format rooms.
• Hands-on knowledge of room automation and control platforms, scheduling, camera automation, and one-touch join workflows.
• Experience leading office or site expansions, reading architectural and low-voltage drawings, and managing external AV and low-voltage vendors; willingness to travel as needed.
• Networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, QoS, and multicast, plus familiarity with Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or Google Meet hardware.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nice to have

• Crestron Certified Programmer, DMC-E, AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification.
• Experience with QSC Q-SYS, Extron, or Biamp DSP systems.
• Experience supporting AV or low-voltage systems in data center, industrial, or other critical-facility environments.
• Experience integrating AV monitoring and alerting into IT service management or NOC workflows.
