What you will do

• Own the architectural blueprint and long-term technical vision for the global data platform.
• Design analytics, semantic, and AI data layers that expose trustworthy metrics, feature signals, and skill intelligence models.
• Solve complex challenges involving multi-tenant isolation, data consistency, streaming and batch performance, and data contracts.
• Define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and data modeling conventions across engineering teams.
• Oversee observability, data quality, SLAs, and root cause analysis for systemic platform failures.
• Guide senior engineers on system design, technical trade-offs, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Experience as a Data Platform Architect or Staff-level Data Engineer designing and scaling enterprise data platforms.
• Deep expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time and batch processing.
• Strong hands-on Python skills for backend engineering and platform software design.
• Advanced experience with complex dbt project architecture, SQL, NoSQL schema design, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and containerization, including Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Ability to define data quality, observability, data contract, and incident management standards and communicate architectural trade-offs to executives.

Nice to have

• TypeScript or Node backend experience.
• BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Apache Kafka, or Segment experience.
• Data modeling for AI, ML, or agentic workloads.
