Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, California, United States; occasional travel to offsite locations is required.

Salary: USD 116,000–145,000 per year, plus participation in the Branch Pool Plan.

What you will do

• Lead and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians, including prioritization, resource allocation, performance reviews, coaching, and succession planning.
• Coordinate engineering activities across sales, operations, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders during product design and launch.
• Oversee CAD documentation, BOMs, routings, production schedules, assembly and test plans, ECO/ECN processes, and shop-floor launch readiness.
• Drive new product and process development, equipment selection, process qualification, validation, gate reviews, tooling, facility layouts, and capital projects.
• Lead continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective actions while monitoring safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity KPIs.
• Ensure test equipment, procedures, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness meet applicable standards.

Requirements

• Four-year Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required; graduate degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of industry experience and preferably 2 or more years in a manufacturing engineering leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, customer focus, and accountability in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience with prototype setup, BOM validation, pilot builds, ECO/ECN management, design for manufacturability, PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, and Cp/Cpk.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD tools, drawing markup, GD&T, documentation control, PDM/PLM, and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with Watlow D8 controllers, Rockwell Automation tools, and Steinhauer Enclosure Modification Center programming, setup, and troubleshooting; a valid driver's license is required.

• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Graduate degree in engineering or a related field.
