CNC Machinist-3rd Shift (Edwards Vacuum)

Location: Buffalo, United States; on-site, third shift

What you will do

• Operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines across multiple part families.
• Act as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and standard operating procedure compliance.
• Diagnose complex machining and process issues and lead root-cause analysis with engineers and team leaders.
• Support 6S workplace practices, continuous improvement initiatives, pilot runs, and new machine setups.
• Mentor and train junior machinists and transfer technical knowledge across the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and basic CNC programming.
• Experience with advanced troubleshooting, machine setups, and precision adjustments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
