Advanced Care Paramedic

Location: Innisfail, Alberta, Canada

Salary: $38.35–$50.50 CAD hourly, according to the MHSW Central Alberta Collective Agreement

What you will do

• Provide immediate advanced treatment and transportation for sick and injured patients.
• Make clinical decisions, lead each shift, and ensure ambulance and patient safety.
• Operate and maintain emergency vehicles, equipment, and supplies in a constant state of readiness.
• Assess, stabilize, extricate, and transport patients in hazardous environments.
• Coordinate with PCPs, hospitals, public agencies, and other emergency response partners.
• Complete patient care reports, incident reports, and required documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
• Completion of Alberta Health Services MCP requirements.
• Alberta operator’s licence, class 1, 2, or 4.
• Current CPR certification and required FARE certification.
• Good physical health and ability to lift and move heavy patients and work in hazardous conditions.
