Registered Nurse (Emergency Department)

Location: Ontario certification required

Salary: CAD 41.15–58.98 per hour

What you will do

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient care.
• Use nursing standards and the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Provide health teaching to patients and families.
• Support corrective actions that promote patient and staff safety.
• Follow occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

• Certificate of competency in Ontario.
• Current ACLS competency obtained within the past two years.
• Current PALS competency obtained within the past two years.
• At least one year of emergency nursing experience or three years of nursing experience.
• Clinical competency in emergency patient care and IV therapy.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to have

• Continuing education within the past two years, especially emergency nursing courses or conferences.
