Rehabilitation Service Specialist (RSS) - Québec

Location: Work from home in Quebec, Canada; minimal travel across the region as required.

Salary: $75,200 CAD per year

What you will do

• Determine rehabilitation assessment requirements and clarify participants’ rehabilitation needs.
• Develop thorough, needs-based rehabilitation plans with participants, families or caregivers, rehabilitation professionals, and Veterans Affairs Canada case managers.
• Coordinate medical, psycho-social, and vocational rehabilitation services as the service integrator.
• Ensure plans are goal-oriented, safe, cost-effective, high quality, and aligned with program mandates.
• Help participants explore community-based interventions and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
• Identify barriers and risk factors and implement strategies to improve outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation, Social Sciences, Health Services, Human Services, or a related field.
• Health professional designation, Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional certification, or, in Quebec, registration with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec.
• At least three years of direct experience providing medical, psycho-social, or vocational rehabilitation services.
• Experience supporting people living with mental or physical health problems that create barriers in life.
• Employment is conditional on obtaining federal Reliability Status security clearance.
• Ability to travel across the region as required.

Nice to have

• Bilingual French and English.
• Experience working with employers, community resources, and training institutions.
• Current or former Canadian Armed Forces membership.
