What you will do
- Follow up on outstanding claim statuses and document outcomes clearly.
- Review ERAs and EOBs under the supervision of a senior biller to support accurate payment posting.
- Log and categorize denials to help identify trends and improve follow-up.
- Prepare and maintain patient statements for clinics and patients.
- Keep internal revenue cycle documentation current and useful.
Requirements
- Recently completed or nearing completion of a Medical Billing and Coding, Health Information Technology, or Healthcare Administration program.
- Familiarity with claims, ERAs/EOBs, and denials through coursework, an externship, or hands-on experience.
- Ability to learn new software and tools quickly and ask questions when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through with repetitive, detail-heavy work.
- Availability for a consistent Monday-Friday schedule during standard business hours in the candidate's time zone for the six-month internship.
