Billing & Collections Specialist (MedTech)

What you will do

• Prepare new charges, activate and bill patients, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Verify patient, insurance, and billing information by coordinating with patients, physicians’ offices, hospitals, insurers, and other parties.
• Collect outstanding accounts receivable and resolve past-due billing issues through calls, messages, and payer follow-up.
• Maintain billing databases, enter and retrieve data, and prepare detailed reports.
• Review and reconcile accounts receivable and order-entry exceptions to support accurate invoicing and prompt payment.
• Identify payer issues and escalate relevant billing and collections problems to management.

Requirements

• High attention to detail, quality awareness, and accuracy.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to create detailed reports.
• Working knowledge of payer reimbursement guidelines and billing, regulatory, and compliance policies.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and protected health information requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and sit at a computer for 6–8 hours per day.
