Location: Bridgewater, New Jersey, United States; full-time, in-person presence required

Salary: $103,000–$131,000 annual

What you will do

• Evaluate the properties and function of gene editing therapy candidates with research and gene editing teams.
• Design and produce novel gene editing therapy candidates.
• Develop cell-based biological assays and support early-stage research programs.
• Author and review experimental protocols, electronic notebook entries, technical reports, and scientific publications.
• Document experimental procedures and results, and present findings to peers and management.

Requirements

• PhD in a life science discipline, conferred by September 2026.
• Expert hands-on knowledge of molecular biology, including PCR, cloning, protein expression, mutagenesis, and genetic engineering.
• Experience independently designing experiments or developing assays, including troubleshooting, optimization, and data analysis.
• Experience culturing different cell types, including transfection and cell-based assays.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive, self-motivated, independent, and collaborative working style.

Nice to have

• Flow cytometry experience.
• NGS workflows, including library construction.
• High-throughput screening design and execution.
• Protein purification and enzymatic assays.
