TL;DR
Senior Business Data Analyst (Fintech): Investigating partner performance, payment funnels, operational workflows, and large-scale financial datasets with an accent on SQL, BI reporting, analytics engineering, and strategic partner collaboration. Focus on establishing analytical frameworks for ambiguous questions, identifying root causes and anomalies, and applying AI-assisted tools to automate workflows and solve complex payment challenges.
Location: Singapore; day-to-day commercial and partner interaction takes place primarily within the Singapore time zone and Singapore offices

What you will do
- Investigate partner concerns involving conversion performance, churn, segmentation, behavioural trends, and payment funnel optimization.
- Analyze large-scale operational and financial datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Perform independent investigations into ambiguous operational and commercial questions and develop analytical frameworks.
- Build reports, dashboards, and analytical models using SQL, dbt, Tableau, and related tools.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across payment flows, user funnels, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with commercial teams and external strategic partners, translating complex analysis into actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, ownership, and independent investigation skills.
- Experience with BI tools, SQL, and modern cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Understanding of analytics engineering concepts and modern data transformation workflows.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and work directly with strategic enterprise partners.
- University degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with dbt, Tableau, Python, or related analytics tools.
- Background in payments, fintech, subscriptions, e-commerce, or digital platforms.
- Experience with customer-facing commercial work and external stakeholders.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, data analysis, automation tools, or AI agents.
