Data Analyst (Fintech)

Diversified trading firm operating across global financial markets and traditional and non-traditional asset classes, including cryptoassets.

What you will do

• Analyze new datasets, profile their content, identify collection and storage requirements, and surface insights for data strategists and front-office stakeholders.
• Measure data quality across completeness, validity, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
• Curate data catalog entries so research data assets are accurately represented and discoverable.
• Support datasets throughout their lifecycle by working with global research teams and external data vendors.
• Monitor and resolve production data issues while coordinating support across technology, operations, research, and risk management teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve datasets and data management processes.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational knowledge of financial instruments and market data symbology.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for exploratory data analysis, including PySpark, pandas, and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Ability to document and clearly explain complex data analysis findings.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Athena, Amazon S3, Linux, Bash, and Git.
• Experience developing data quality checks or reports.
• Prior experience using the Bloomberg Terminal.
