Senior Systems Engineer (AI)

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 annually plus bonus; restricted stock units included

What you will do

• Design and implement modular, API-first agentic AI workflows using Workato ONE, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, and similar platforms.
• Build autonomous agents that orchestrate processes across Salesforce, Coupa, Slack, Google Workspace, and other enterprise systems.
• Architect unified data layers, integrations, APIs, custom connectors, and MCP connectors for scalable AI orchestration.
• Design deployment pipelines and lifecycle management systems for production AI agents.
• Embed security, privacy, and compliance guardrails into AI implementations.
• Create reusable frameworks for the Citizen Developer Program and mentor internal teams through code reviews and training.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in AI/ML or AI application development.
• Strong Python and API development skills, including REST, GraphQL, and webhooks.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, or Zapier.
• Experience with LLM APIs, agentic architectures, RAG patterns, and prompt engineering.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems in AWS, GCP, or Azure, with knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, and data security, privacy, and compliance requirements including SOC 2 and GDPR.

Nice to have

• Production deployment of agentic AI systems and familiarity with Workato or other iPaaS platforms.
• Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 automation experience.
• Knowledge of MCP or similar interoperability standards and enterprise AI governance frameworks.
• Background in infrastructure, energy, or high-performance computing.
• Open-source AI contributions or technical thought leadership.
