Senior Director, Principal Technical Architect

Location: Hybrid, with onsite work strongly preferred. Primary location: New York City, New York, United States. Additional locations: Tampa, Florida; Collegeville, Pennsylvania; Groton, Connecticut; La Jolla, California; Bothell, Washington; and Walton Oaks, United Kingdom. Remote work is considered only for internal candidates already designated as remote.

Annual base salary: $214,900–$358,100 in the United States. Tampa, Florida salary range: $193,400–$322,400. The role also includes a 22.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy, roadmap, and target-state architecture for a key digital platform.
• Act as the platform design authority, defining technical standards, integration patterns, and major architecture decisions.
• Lead and develop engineering teams responsible for building and operating the platform.
• Partner with senior business and Digital leaders, product owners, and enterprise architects to translate ambiguous needs into measurable outcomes.
• Define responsible applications of AI, automation, modern engineering practices, and platform reuse.
• Establish standards for reliability, security, observability, documentation, compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years of senior engineering and technical leadership experience in enterprise platforms, cloud, or large-scale technology delivery.
• Experience owning the technical strategy and architecture of a significant platform, product, or technology domain.
• Experience leading and developing engineers, architects, and technical leads.
• Hands-on expertise in modern engineering practices, cloud platforms, data and integration patterns, APIs, security, and reliability.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Advanced degree in technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a highly regulated global enterprise with complex compliance, privacy, security, and risk requirements.
• Experience applying AI-enabled delivery, automation, and platform reuse.
• Technical depth in areas such as agent platforms, data fabric, developer experience, colleague-facing AI, or cyber defense.
