Principal Architect (Data & AI)

Location: US - Remote

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annual pay range, including base salary and bonus

What you will do

• Lead the technical delivery approach for large, multidisciplinary engagements across data engineering, data visualization, data governance, and AI.
• Orchestrate coherent delivery plans across capability leads, including sequencing, dependencies, staffing, standards, and technical decision points.
• Identify and address delivery risks affecting approach, quality, and cross-workstream coherence.
• Develop delivery standards, reusable accelerators, engineering practices, advisory frameworks, and capability assessment models.
• Apply AI tooling and agentic patterns to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of consulting delivery.
• Coach architects and consultants on delivery approach, consulting judgment, facilitation, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years delivering enterprise data or AI solutions, including substantial consulting or professional services experience.
• Expertise in one of data engineering, data visualization, or data governance, with working proficiency in at least two additional disciplines.
• Experience leading technical delivery across multiple disciplines on large or complex engagements.
• Demonstrated experience taking a practice capability from assessment through adoption as a standard.
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft data and AI ecosystem, such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Copilot Studio, or Microsoft Foundry.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting presales scoping, effort modeling, technical approaches, and statements of work.
• Familiarity with DORA capabilities in data and analytics delivery.
• Experience with regulated industry or public sector clients.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
