Project Safety Advisor (Data Center Construction)

Location: Childress, Texas, United States; on-site

Salary: $93,500–$110,000 per year plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Own site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs for hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Conduct daily on-site walkthroughs covering trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment.
• Partner with prime contractors to implement safety programs and deliver required documentation.
• Track incident rates, near misses, and leading safety indicators to drive improvement.
• Lead safety oversight during electrical commissioning, including UPS, switchgear, generators, and live power environments.
• Audit contractor programs, lead weekly safety meetings, and maintain emergency response procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction safety, such as oil and gas, power generation, or large-scale manufacturing.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction or OSHA 510 certification, plus First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and NFPA 70E, including arc flash boundaries and PPE selection.
• Ability to influence site leadership and manage safety performance under aggressive project timelines.
• Ability to work full-time on active construction sites, walk long distances, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions; participation in a drug and alcohol program is required.

Nice to have

• CSP, ASP, GSP, or CHST certification.
• Experience supporting data center construction or commissioning.
• Proficiency with Procore or SafetyCulture/iAuditor.
