Commercial Appraiser (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Chicago, Minneapolis, or Milwaukee, USA

Salary: $75,000–$150,000 annual compensation plus salary and fee-split

What you will do

• Engage valuation assignments, define the scope of work, and determine appropriate valuation approaches and methodologies.
• Collect data, conduct market research, and analyze complex highest and best use scenarios.
• Analyze revenue and expense performance and develop cash flows using discounted cash flow models.
• Perform comparable sales analyses, detailed cost analyses, and market comparisons to develop opinions of value.
• Complete commercial real estate valuation and consulting projects and provide timely, reliable client service.
• May mentor less experienced professionals and develop new business or manage client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Certified General Appraiser license required.
• 2–5 years of experience appraising commercial real estate required.
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to solve advanced and multifaceted problems.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, proactively solve problems, follow through, and complete tasks.
• Commitment to professional development and continual learning.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook/Teams, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Candidate for the MAI designation.
• Experience with Argus Enterprise or Rockport VAL.
