Commercial Claims Account Executive (Commercial Insurance)

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois, United States; hybrid role with an on-site presence required

Base compensation: $70,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary claims advocate and point of contact for commercial transportation and fleet clients.
• Manage the full claims lifecycle, including reporting, investigation, monitoring, escalation, settlement, and resolution.
• Coordinate with carriers, adjusters, attorneys, medical providers, third-party administrators, and internal teams.
• Analyze loss runs, claims data, reserves, and trends to identify risk reduction opportunities.
• Lead client claims review meetings and explain coverage, exclusions, deductibles, and reporting requirements.
• Support renewals, account retention, risk improvement plans, and complex claim disputes through claims insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial insurance claims, risk management, or commercial lines account management experience.
• Commercial transportation, trucking, or fleet claims experience is strongly preferred.
• Active Property and Casualty Insurance License required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial claims processes, coverage interpretation, claim resolution, loss analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication, organization, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with an on-site presence in the Schaumburg, Illinois area.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
• Applied Epic or other agency management systems experience.
• Insurance designations such as ARM, CPCU, CRM, or CIC.
