Senior Technical Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Chile

Salary: $5,000–$8,000 gross per month in USD

What you will do

• Own the banking platform roadmap supporting accounts, deposits, cards, and lending on a unified ledger and account model.
• Evaluate core banking platforms and processors, lead vendor diligence, and support build-versus-buy decisions.
• Define account hierarchies, sub-ledgers, posting rules, accruals, reconciliation, and general ledger integration.
• Specify transfers, ACH, card issuing, network settlement, real-time rails, returns, reversals, and exception handling.
• Lead auditability, regulatory readiness, migration planning, data validation, cutover, and rollback strategy.
• Write technical specifications and API contracts, define KPIs, query data with SQL, and manage platform risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of product experience, including substantial ownership of financial infrastructure.
• Experience with ledgers, payments, money movement, card issuing, deposit or account platforms, lending platforms, processors, or core banking vendors.
• Understanding of double-entry accounting, APIs, event-driven architecture, idempotency, distributed-system failure modes, and data flows.
• Strong SQL skills and experience collaborating with Compliance, Legal, Finance, or Treasury.
• Role is remote and restricted to candidates in Chile.

Nice to have

• Experience with core banking platforms such as Thought Machine, Mambu, 10x, Finxact, Temenos, Technisys, Galileo, or Pismo.
• Experience with core migrations, ledger replacements, licensed financial institutions, consumer finance regulation, BNPL, cards, or fintech sponsorship programs.
• Experience with third-party risk management and vendor oversight in regulated environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI tools, data models, or generative AI applications.
