Senior Technical Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Chile, Remote

Salary: $5,000–$8,000 per month gross in USD

What you will do

• Own the banking platform roadmap supporting accounts, deposits, cards, and lending on a unified ledger and account model.
• Evaluate core banking platforms and processors, lead vendor diligence, and support build-versus-buy decisions.
• Define account hierarchies, sub-ledgers, chart-of-accounts mapping, posting rules, accruals, holds, and general ledger integration.
• Specify transfers, ACH, card issuing, network settlement, real-time payment rails, returns, reversals, exception handling, and reconciliation.
• Ensure auditability through reporting, transaction traceability, controls, balance attestation, and complete transaction history.
• Own technical specifications, API contracts, event schemas, data models, migration plans, release plans, KPIs, and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of product experience, including substantial work with financial infrastructure.
• Direct ownership of at least one area such as ledgers, payments, money movement, card issuing, deposit or account platforms, lending platforms, or processor/core banking products.
• Understanding of double-entry accounting concepts, including debits and credits, sub-ledgers, accruals, and reconciliation.
• Strong technical knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture, idempotency, distributed-system failure modes, processing models, data flows, and SQL.
• Experience partnering with Compliance, Legal, Finance, or Treasury and working effectively with incomplete information.

Nice to have

• Experience with core banking platforms such as Thought Machine, Mambu, 10x, Finxact, Temenos, Technisys, Galileo, or Pismo.
• Experience with core migrations, ledger replacements, licensed financial institutions, banking licenses, or deposit insurance applications.
• Knowledge of consumer finance regulations, consumer credit, BNPL, card products, banking sponsorship programs, or regulated vendor risk management.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI tools, data models, or generative AI applications.
