General Construction Manager (AI Data Centers)

Location: AMER; full-time, on-site presence required Monday through Friday, with weekend availability during critical milestones. Site hours begin at 6:30 AM.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 USD base salary per year, with potential bonus, equity, and commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead daily on-site construction execution across civil, structural, MEP, commissioning, and turnover phases.
• Serve as the primary interface between Nscale, the general contractor, subcontractors, design teams, and third-party vendors.
• Monitor schedules, identify risks, escalate delays, and drive mitigation strategies.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract requirements, quality standards, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate the MEP Manager, EHS Manager, Construction Scheduler, and Cost Manager to maintain sequenced, conflict-free work.
• Lead OAC meetings, maintain construction documentation, manage punch lists, and support systems verification and final handover.

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction management experience, including at least 3 years on data center, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial projects.
• Experience managing general contractors and multidisciplinary subcontractor teams.
• Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to interpret civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• OSHA 30 certification and a valid driver's license are required.
• Reliable full-time on-site presence is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or Tier III/IV data center construction.
• Familiarity with DCIM systems, raised floors, and critical power or cooling infrastructure.
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6.
