Field Construction Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in Largo, Maryland, with daily reporting to a client campus in Prince George's County

What you will do

• Act as hirify.global's lead field representative and report to the Senior Project Manager throughout construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
• Provide full-time on-site oversight of the CMAR and subcontractors, verifying compliance with drawings, specifications, contract documents, and safety requirements.
• Lead progress, coordination, pre-installation, and staff meetings while managing RFIs, submittals, product data, samples, drawings, change orders, and as-builts.
• Track schedule performance, milestones, delays, critical-path risks, payment reviews, time impact analyses, and prevailing-wage compliance.
• Coordinate inspections, FF&E and low-voltage installations, startup, commissioning, testing, owner training, final inspections, and turnover.
• Manage punch lists, nonconformance logs, corrective actions, warranty issues, and post-occupancy activities.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of construction management, field management, or superintendent experience on commercial or education projects, including 3 years in a lead field role.
• Experience overseeing a general contractor or Construction Manager at Risk on ground-up or major renovation projects.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, contract documents, submittals, RFIs, CPM schedules, payment applications, and change orders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management or document platforms such as Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Valid driver's license, ability to report daily to the Maryland client campus, and successful completion of required federal and state background checks.
