Senior Construction Cost Estimator (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $165,000–$210,000 per year plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end estimating, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting for data center projects from early planning through construction execution.
• Develop CAPEX cost models aligned with design development, scope changes, funding strategies, and business objectives.
• Prepare detailed estimates for MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure across domestic and international projects.
• Evaluate contractor and vendor proposals through benchmarking, bid leveling, commercial analysis, and award recommendations.
• Produce cost reports, dashboards, executive summaries, business cases, and funding analyses.
• Build scalable estimating tools, benchmarking databases, cost coding frameworks, and repeatable processes for hirify.global’s infrastructure pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 10+ years of estimating and cost management experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale high-tech infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in cost modeling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking, and lifecycle cost management.
• Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Proficiency with CostX, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms.
• Experience with procurement, bid evaluation, contractor selection, commercial analysis, financial reporting, and executive stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with general contractors, owner’s representative firms, or technology and data center infrastructure companies.
• AACE, RICS, CMAA, CCP, or equivalent professional certification.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.
