Director, Agent Marketing (AI)

Salary: $178,700–$307,100 USD base salary annually, depending on pay zone; additional bonus, equity, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Define and build a global GEO function, including its strategy, charter, roadmap, operating model, tooling, workflows, and measurement framework.
• Increase Databricks’ visibility and citation share across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and traditional search.
• Grow qualified organic and AI-referred traffic, conversions, and influenced pipeline for priority products and audiences.
• Establish experimentation across content structure, schema, semantic depth, and technical changes, with measurable impact on visibility and funnel performance.
• Improve the technical health and AI crawlability of high-value pages in partnership with Web, Engineering, and Marketing Systems.
• Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing GEO team while providing executive-ready reporting and insights.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technical search, discovery, or adjacent domains, including ownership of systems driving organic or AI-powered discovery.
• Deep technical knowledge of web architecture, crawling and indexing, structured data and schema, Core Web Vitals, and log or crawl analysis.
• Experience designing and running experimentation programs that deliver measurable improvements in visibility, traffic, and business KPIs.
• Experience building a function from zero to one, defining its operating model and metrics, and hiring and managing a team of individual contributors.
• Strong analytical, cross-functional collaboration, written communication, and executive reporting skills.
