Senior Staff Commissioning Engineer (AI Infrastructure): Leading commissioning strategy and technical authority for electrical systems across Crusoe's multi-campus data center portfolio with an accent on power distribution, EPMS, controls, generation systems, and commissioning governance. Focus on governing L0–L6 processes, resolving complex cross-project risks, managing CxA and vendor performance, and elevating engineering teams through mentorship.

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; on-site with approximately 50% travel to project sites

Salary: $175,000–$215,000 annually plus bonus and Restricted Stock Units

What you will do

  • Provide commissioning oversight and technical direction across multiple data center campuses.
  • Serve as the electrical systems authority for energization readiness, acceptance testing, technical sign-offs, and risk-based deviations.
  • Develop, deploy, and continuously improve commissioning standards, governance documents, deficiency management, and script libraries across the L0–L6 lifecycle.
  • Conduct QA audits, root cause analysis, and program-level quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead quoting, bid leveling, scope development, change order review, and commercial oversight for CxAs and vendors.
  • Manage trade partner and CxA performance while mentoring engineers and developing technical capability across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery, including campus, regional, or program-level ownership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; equivalent commissioning experience may be considered.
  • Mastery of the full L0–L6 commissioning lifecycle and expertise in power distribution, EPMS, protection, controls, and power generation systems.
  • Experience governing commissioning programs across multiple projects and managing quoting, contracts, vendors, CxAs, OEMs, and contractors.
  • Strong executive and client communication skills, including translating technical complexity into data-driven business narratives.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dallas and travel to project sites approximately 50% of the time.
