Senior Manager of Accounts Payable

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; on-site

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Develop the long-term vision and operating model for the Accounts Payable function.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs through ACH, wire, and virtual card, and employee expense reporting.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing Accounts Payable team.
• Identify manual processes and implement automation and modern financial technology.
• Partner with Procurement, Engineering, Treasury, FP&A, and other stakeholders on procure-to-pay operations and cash-flow forecasting.
• Design and maintain internal controls, support AP audits, and monitor KPIs including DPO and on-time payment performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role managing a team.
• Experience building processes in a fast-paced, high-volume technology, SaaS, or startup environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Accounts Payable platforms.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders and translate data into process improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sage Intacct and Coupa.
• Experience scaling Accounts Payable for SOX compliance or IPO readiness.
• CPA or CTP certification.
