Head of Global Procure to Pay (P2P) (Accounts Payable)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, USA; in-person work three days a week or more

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Lead the global accounts payable and procure-to-pay function across US, EMEA, and APAC entities.
• Oversee invoice intake, approval workflows, vendor payments, employee expenses, payment terms, and cash-flow optimization.
• Manage vendor onboarding, master data, payment disputes, compliance, and supplier relationships.
• Standardize and automate AP processes, including e-invoicing, workflow automation, touchless processing, and KPI reporting.
• Lead AP system implementations and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on integration and adoption.
• Coach and develop a geographically dispersed AP team and report performance, liabilities, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a global accounts payable function and geographically dispersed teams across the US, UK, and APAC.
• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, and AP automation tools.
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, segregation of duties, audits, 1099 reporting, and VAT/GST requirements.
• Demonstrated experience driving process improvements, system implementations, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, organizational, and escalation-management skills.
• At least seven years of experience in a global management role; a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in a shared services environment.
• Project management experience in system implementation or process transformation.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements across US, EMEA, and APAC.
