Senior Buyer, Switchboards (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Based at the Long Beach facility in Long Beach, California, with occasional travel to suppliers and other Giga sites.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 USD base salary per year

What you will do

• Execute purchase orders for metals, busbars, and electrical components based on production schedules.
• Track supplier acknowledgments, delivery commitments, open orders, and overdue or at-risk purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate ERP data for order status, pricing, quantities, BOM costs, and purchase price variances.
• Manage purchase order revisions, cancellations, change orders, and buy plans for long-lead components.
• Coordinate with planning, logistics, quality, and production teams to resolve supply risks, transit issues, NCRs, replacements, and credits.
• Report supplier delivery performance and provide cost and lead-time data to Global Supply Management.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain execution, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience managing high-volume purchase orders in an ERP system.
• Ability to expedite late orders through persistent follow-up and strong organization.
• Ability to interpret BOMs and technical specifications to ensure order accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and spreadsheet experience for data tracking.
