Maintenance Technician (Hospitality)

Location: Onsite at 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, California, United States. The schedule is approximately 32–40 hours and may include nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency support outside regular hours.

Salary: Starting base pay is $30.00 per hour; the role may also be eligible for equity, bonuses, benefits, and travel credits.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, locks, furniture, and other building systems.
• Inspect machinery and equipment, perform operational tests, identify irregularities, and support diagnosis and repairs.
• Complete painting, fixture installation, equipment setup, and structural upkeep throughout hotel rooms, corridors, lobbies, and other property areas.
• Transport and install equipment and supplies, including televisions, mattresses, tables, and chairs.
• Coordinate assigned projects with the Chief Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Property Operations, and Guest Experience teams.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest maintenance requests and emergencies.

Requirements

• Previous hotel engineering or comparable maintenance experience in an apartment complex, office building, or similar establishment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, multitask, and complete projects efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a calm, positive approach to stressful situations.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds and stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Flexible availability for changing schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency calls.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of hotel experience.
• At least 2 years of guest service experience.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with mobile technology and maintenance systems.
