Commissioning Engineer II

Location: Dallas, TX, US; on-site. The role requires 75% travel to project sites.

Salary: $90,000–$106,000 annually plus bonus, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers.

What you will do

• Execute pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and integrated systems tests across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Document test results, deficiencies, corrective actions, field reports, commissioning logs, and turnover records.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with trade contractors, subcontractors, and project teams in the field.
• Review installation conditions against approved drawings, submittals, and specifications before testing.
• Develop and review commissioning test scripts, MOPs, punch lists, and formal deficiency closures.
• Support startup activities, factory witness testing, reliability demonstrations, and critical MEP, BMS, and EPMS systems testing.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent field experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of data center power distribution and cooling infrastructure.
• Familiarity with commissioning levels L1 through L5 and the requirements of each phase.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment submittals.
• Strong documentation, communication, coordination, issue escalation, and site safety practices.
