Electrical Systems Engineer (Power Generation)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR and EAR.

Salary: $107,000–$144,000 for P2, $124,800–$167,700 for P3, or $139,200–$187,050 for P4, depending on experience, location, and performance.

What you will do

• Define the low-voltage architecture, single-line diagrams, interface requirements, and concept of operations during preliminary design.
• Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, load lists, I/O lists, and supporting analyses for detailed design.
• Own first-article build, electrical checkout, troubleshooting, first energization, and commissioning during testing.
• Design and integrate low-voltage power distribution, conversion, control, protection, instrumentation, and 12–28VDC electronics.
• Develop electrical interfaces for fuel, lubrication, starting, SCR and emissions, load bank, cooling, enclosure, and balance-of-plant systems.
• Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, controls, instrumentation, and test teams.

Requirements

• Experience designing and commissioning low-voltage electrical systems for industrial equipment such as turbines, compressors, generators, or similar rotating machinery.
• Hands-on experience with motor control, instrumentation wiring, and control-panel design in 480VAC and 12–28VDC environments.
• Ability to produce clear, buildable schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and I/O lists.
• Ability to work across mechanical, controls, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR and EAR eligibility requirements.
