Commissioning Engineer (Data Center Controls)

Location: Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or U.S. Remote. The listed location type is on-site.

Salary: $164,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Establish commissioning programs for tens to hundreds of gigawatts of capacity.
• Run commissioning and QA-QC for first-of-a-kind modular data centers.
• Commission BMS and EPMS controls through point-to-point checks, sequence validation, and integrated testing.
• Verify control sequences against design requirements and validate failure modes.
• Perform alarm rationalization and graphics validation for operator-ready systems.
• Automate test execution and reporting to improve Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning across sites.

Requirements

• Experience commissioning building controls on mission-critical projects through integrated systems testing.
• Experience performing point-to-point testing across thousands of points and maintaining accurate tracking.
• Ability to critically review control sequences and identify missed cases.
• Experience scripting or automating repetitive testing instead of performing it manually.
• Applicants must be able to work from the listed U.S. locations or U.S. Remote arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Niagara, Ignition, or other major BMS platforms.
• EPMS integration experience.
• PLC programming experience.
• Data center liquid cooling controls experience.
