Senior Counsel - Commercial (AI)

Location: San Francisco office; hybrid with required presence four days per week. Tuesday is the designated work-from-home day.

Salary: $210,000–$305,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, data center service provider, partner, reseller, distributor, and marketing agreements.
• Partner with the AGC to manage enterprise deal negotiations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to enable high-value transactions while managing legal risk.
• Advise on contract structures, associated risks, and alignment with business and legal requirements.
• Use legal technology and automation to streamline contracting, compliance tracking, and knowledge management.
• Improve legal operations, templates, and playbooks while providing practical guidance independently.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Membership in at least one U.S. state bar is required.
• 10+ years of legal experience, including at least three years in-house.
• Extensive buy-side and sell-side commercial transaction experience.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment and provide decisive, practical advice.

Nice to have

• Experience in infrastructure-as-a-service.
• Experience in technology, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS.
• Familiarity with privacy, data security, or compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
