GenAI Product Builder (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid role

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 annually for roles performed from Illinois. Compensation may vary for California, Colorado, and New York.

What you will do

• Partner with healthcare, life science, and internal business leaders to identify high-impact GenAI use cases.
• Conduct customer research and problem discovery, translating operational challenges into functional product solutions.
• Build rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas and align stakeholders.
• Design and implement agent-based solutions for workflow automation, patient communication, insight generation, and clinical operations.
• Develop LLM and agent-framework capabilities including prompts, chaining, context management, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Lead implementations, shape platform roadmaps through real-world feedback, and train business users on deployed solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience combining product management or ownership with hands-on software or AI engineering.
• Hands-on experience building or deploying GenAI applications, agents, chat interfaces, or LLM-driven workflows.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies, plus familiarity with APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, and data pipelines.
• Experience taking AI solutions from prototype to production, including observability, A/B testing, error handling, and scaling.
• Practical experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, prompt engineering, evaluation metrics, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong communication, storytelling, systems thinking, user research, and project delivery skills when working with clinicians and engineers.
