GenAI Platform Engineer (Python, MCP & Agentic AI)

Location: Whippany, New Jersey; onsite or hybrid from day one. New York is also listed as the job location.

Salary: $90,786–$107,298 annual base compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based GenAI services, agent workflows, MCP integrations, and reusable platform components.
• Build MCP servers, clients, tools, resources, prompts, schemas, and authorization frameworks.
• Develop agent orchestration workflows covering tool calling, retrieval, workflow execution, and output generation.
• Design RAG pipelines for ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, ranking, answer synthesis, and citations.
• Integrate financial data providers, SEC filings, enterprise repositories, web search, and banking platforms.
• Develop secure APIs and backend services with Python, FastAPI, REST, and asynchronous programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python backend development and GenAI applications, LLM workflows, agentic systems, or AI platforms.
• Experience with MCP implementations, including tools, resources, servers, and clients.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks, plus RAG, embeddings, vector search, retrieval quality, and grounding.
• Experience developing FastAPI, REST, and asynchronous Python APIs; knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, cloud deployment, and AWS.
• Understanding of enterprise security, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and production monitoring.

Nice to have

• AWS Bedrock, Claude models, managed GenAI services, or vector databases such as OpenSearch, Pinecone, pgVector, Weaviate, or Chroma.
• Experience integrating FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Fitch, or similar financial data providers.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, observability, AI evaluation, prompt management, AI governance, model risk, data privacy, and regulatory controls.
• Experience with investment banking workflows such as IPOs, ECM, DCM, M&A, and advisory.
