Data Analyst, L&G - Asset Management, America (AI)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 yearly, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus plan

Legal & General’s Asset Management business invests across public and private markets worldwide and manages investment products for individual savers, pension scheme members, and global institutions.

What you will do

• Drive adoption of centralized Enterprise Data Masters for investment products, accounts, benchmarks, and securities.
• Map processes, upstream data sources, and downstream consumers to define transition paths to target-state architecture.
• Reduce fragmented and manual processes while defining scalable, controlled operating models.
• Support UAT, validation, integration of new capabilities, issue triage, benchmark onboarding, and vendor coordination.
• Connect Data, Technology, Investment Operations, Front Office, Onboarding, and Compliance stakeholders through workshops and feedback sessions.
• Track adoption, data quality, operational performance, risks, and dependencies through KPIs, heatmaps, dashboards, and leadership updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or data operations within financial services or asset management.
• Strong understanding of securities, portfolios and accounts, benchmarks, and market data.
• Experience with SQL, cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, and tools such as JIRA for requirements tracking and delivery.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional solutions, and investigating data issues to identify root causes.
• Ability to manage stakeholders, explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, present to senior management, and balance strategic initiatives with operational support.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CR IMS.
• Experience with Bloomberg data and tools, including pricing, reference data, analytics, or PORT.
• Exposure to AI-enabled tooling, Copilot, or AI agent development.
