What you will do

• Support the Office of the CIO in analyzing and communicating NLG Capital’s investment strategies across the general account.
• Build and maintain analytical tools, monitors, and dashboards using issuer-level credit data, manager exposures, peer disclosures, and market data.
• Automate risk reporting, exposure aggregation, and asset-liability management scenario inputs.
• Help investment, risk, and operations colleagues identify opportunities where technology and AI can improve analysis and turnaround time.
• Develop durable, shareable tools using version control, code review, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Financial Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Python and SQL are core requirements.
• Proficiency with Excel and at least one business intelligence or visualization platform, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Practical experience with LLMs and AI coding assistants, including validating their output and understanding their limitations.
• Interest in financial markets, strong analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to complete projects.
• Collaborative communication skills and an inclusive working style.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial analysis, analytics, or quantitative development.
• Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or a similar cloud data platform.
• Experience with modular code, testing, documentation, and code review.
