Quality Supervisor

Location: Onsite in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill on a standard Monday–Friday schedule, with an on-call rotation and flexibility based on business needs.

Salary: $90,000–$124,000 annually.

What you will do

• Define, oversee, and follow up on quality verification and inspection programs.
• Perform quality verification, final inspections, and product release while supporting shop-floor employees.
• Lead metrology activities, including equipment calibration, verification, traceability, and compliance.
• Direct, coordinate, and develop shop-floor quality personnel, managing workloads and competency development.
• Perform root cause analysis, interpret large quality datasets, propose improvements, and determine material dispositions.
• Maintain quality procedures, conduct ISO 9001 and API Q1 internal audits, prepare technical reports, and support HSE objectives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industrial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience working within an established quality system, preferably under ISO or API certification.
• Knowledge and experience with metrology, calibration, equipment verification, and quality audits.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and InfoPath, with exposure to Power BI.

Nice to have

• Premium and API connection knowledge or OCTG experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of NDE methods and ANST certifications.
