Senior Operations Associate, Life Sciences Sequencing

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $75,000–$110,000 per year for roles performed from Illinois; compensation may vary for California, Colorado, and New York.

What you will do

• Support Life Sciences Sequencing Operations across biotech and pharmaceutical customer accounts.
• Collect project metrics, organize performance information, and prepare client-facing materials for meetings and touchpoints.
• Coordinate laboratory, report generation, order processing, finance, and customer success teams to keep biopsy samples moving through workflows.
• Identify at-risk samples and operational bottlenecks, then take action to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
• Coordinate requests from clinical trial sites, clinical research organizations, physicians, and other clients related to sample procurement and operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support issue escalation and resolution, and contribute to product, resource, guideline, and SOP improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in life sciences, genomic sequencing, oncology, or a related industry.
• At least 1 year of experience in management consulting, customer success, account management, or another client-facing role.
• Strong organization, proactive communication, attention to detail, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous and complex workflows.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare, particularly the business side of science.
• Advanced skills in Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in a healthcare technology company.
• Degree or relevant experience in cancer biology, molecular biology, immunology, bioengineering, computational biology, or a related field.
• Experience with Salesforce.com or Looker.
