AutoTEM Technician

Salary: $51,710–$99,770 annual target compensation; hourly role

What you will do

• Prepare ultra-thin specimens and perform transmission electron microscopy analysis for process and product development, qualification, and failure analysis.
• Use dual-beam focused-ion-beam tools for TEM sample preparation and transmission electron microscopes for imaging and analysis.
• Perform technical procedures supporting fabrication, process development, technology development, and process integration.
• Resolve non-standard technical problems using judgment and general instructions.
• Maintain required records and reports and complete other related technical duties.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics technology, materials science, or a comparable discipline, or at least one year of hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work in an advanced electron microscopy laboratory and follow technical procedures.
• Open attitude toward continuous learning and upgrading technical skills.
• Availability for on-site work in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Nice to have

• Technical certification in TEM sample preparation or imaging.
• At least one year of military-relevant experience.
