Genomic Science Liaison I, HCT (South Central Region)

Location: Remote - Texas, USA; the South Central territory includes Texas, Louisiana, and South Mississippi. Travel up to 50% throughout the territory is required.

Salary: $110,000-$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Educate healthcare providers about genetic testing, genomic technologies, and Ambry Genetics products and services.
• Partner with Account Executives and Area Sales Directors to manage the territory and support new and existing client interactions.
• Assist with client inquiries and coordinate with laboratory teams to resolve cases requiring additional support.
• Document meetings and client interactions in appropriate systems.
• Present genomics information in client conversations, small-group meetings, webinars, conferences, and other events.
• Build relationships with potential key opinion leaders and support medical affairs initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in genetic counseling, human genetics, or another healthcare field.
• Strong understanding of clinical genetic testing, including its advantages, limitations, and clinical utility.
• Strong organization, independent working ability, collaboration, communication, and public-speaking skills.
• At least two years of experience in a genetic testing laboratory or clinical setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques such as next-generation sequencing and Sanger sequencing.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in genetic counseling.
• Board certification.
