Technical Project Manager (Nuclear)

Salary: $175,000–$220,000 per year

hirify.global is a fusion power company developing a prototype and pursuing the construction of a commercial fusion power plant for clean electricity generation.

What you will do

• Lead the HERCULES external research collaboration program, totaling more than $20 million over three years.
• Review research proposals, coordinate contracts and funding, and guide awarded projects through their technical lifecycle.
• Partner with internal principal investigators across nuclear, materials, fuel, pulsed power, and related technical teams.
• Communicate program progress and impact to research partners, hirify.global leaders, and executives.
• Identify and resolve supply chain, legal, and technical blockers to accelerate partner delivery.
• Support the delivery of internal Nuclear Science projects alongside external research initiatives.

Requirements

• PhD in science or engineering, or equivalent experience delivering impactful research in an academic or national laboratory setting.
• Technical breadth across nuclear science, materials science, chemical engineering, experimental or computational plasma physics, and electrical engineering.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects and/or publications spanning multiple technical disciplines.
• Experience managing multi-year budgets totaling more than $1 million, reporting progress, driving schedules, and managing multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills for working with scientists, business leaders, and executives through concise memos, technical reports, presentations, and program reviews.
• Demonstrated delivery of a product from TRL 3 to TRL 6 on an accelerated timeline.
